Nursing School

Zagreb, Croatia

Grant amount:

$435

Plan

Students at the Nursing School will investigate air pollution in their urban area and compare results with an urban school in Norway. Lichen will be used as an indicator of acidic air pollution along with measurements of aerosol optical thickness using a Calitoo sun photometer and following the GLOBE protocol.

Student data will be compared with that from official air quality monitoring stations to see if the assessment of air quality is similar. A Calitoo instrument will be provided by this grant.
