Garrett High School Salty Surveyors

Garrett, Indiana

Grant amount:

$1,250

Twelve students at Garrett High School in Indiana have formed a student field research team. The students form groups to undertake observations and conduct research investigations. Measurements are taken following GLOBE protocols. Initial work has focused on the hydrosphere, but several students are interested in agriculture and wish to do pedosphere sampling and study. Two research projects from 2019 have received awards from competitions in Indiana. The grant will expand the measurement equipment available to the students including stream flow and pH meters and a soil analysis kit.
