St. Andrew Catholic School
Cape Coral, Florida
The grant supplies equipment for soil sampling following GLOBE protocols. Data will be reported to GLOBE and made publicly available through the Program’s website. Students will be able to use the equipment for their independent science research projects, for citizen science projects with the GLOBE Program, and for classroom STEM projects aligned with Florida’s science standards. Independent student science research is an important part of the curriculum at St. Andrew Catholic School including middle school students preparing a poster for their project; and presenting their project to external judges. Projects may be submitted to the GLOBE International Virtual Science Symposium and various regional science fairs.
