Patapsco Valley State Park

The Park hosts an Interpretive Trunks program, where grab-and-go boxes for teachers or staff are available to use for field trips and as prepared stations for visitors exploring the Park. Interpretive Trunks allow students to engage in the many waterways that run through the Park, and to survey local streams and the Patapsco River. Participants have access to stream survey testing kits, teaching students to form careful hypotheses, take reproducible measurements, formulate data, and extrapolate conclusive results from their studies. The grant will provide water monitoring equipment for a trunk.
