NECT Green Code

Grant amount:

$1,500

Uganda

The grant will empower 150 students, aged 12-20, in the Albertine region of Uganda with the tools and skills necessary for conducting environmental research. This funding will be used to purchase essential scientific equipment, enhance access to technology, and provide training for educators. By equipping students with water testing kits, soil analysis tools, and weather monitoring devices, and ensuring they have the necessary technological resources, we aim to foster scientific thinking and environmental stewardship. The research conducted by these students will address local environmental challenges, with findings shared through publicly accessible platforms, contributing to global environmental research efforts. This initiative will not only enhance the students' scientific skills and environmental awareness but also positively impact 500 community members by providing valuable insights and solutions for local environmental issues. The grant will ensure that students' research projects are well-supported, and their observations and reports are shared publicly, contributing to a broader understanding of environmental challenges and solutions.
