Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History

Grant amount:

$5,000

Pacific Grove, California

The Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History will host its 3rd annual Student Research Symposium in April 2025. This fully bilingual event involves student-scientists, their families, and the community. Student scientists will present projects developed from their participation in Museum community science programs – Watershed Guardians and LiMPETS (Long-Term Monitoring and Experiential Training for Students). Projects will be presented at the Museum at a Science Saturday event open to the entire community. Presentations, activities, and poster reviewing will be in Spanish and English and special activities will be happening for the families of student-scientists. Attendance by families will be facilitated by providing transportation. We are requesting $5,000 to partially fund the activities that will involve 50 student-scientist participants, their families, scientist reviewers, and the community.
