Selbe School

Grant amount:

$1,466

Mongolia

Support from YLACES will enable a new generation of emerging environmentally conscious students to measure their exposure to air pollution at home and in the classroom and take action to mitigate its health impacts. This generous contribution to high school citizen scientists residing in a region in the global top 10 for air pollution exposure during winter will collect publicly available data on classroom air pollution exposure for the first time in Mongolia. Their data reveals the daily exposure to air pollution and will be used in a research project exploring individual and community mitigation options and cognitive impacts of long-term exposure.
