Empowering Middle School Students Through Environmental Research

The proposed project aims to provide middle school students with the tools and resources necessary to engage in meaningful environmental research, specifically focusing on soil pH and its impact on soil health. This project aligns seamlessly with multiple standards in the life science and earth science curriculum, offering students a direct connection to their learning objectives. Students will actively participate in conducting research projects centered around soil pH and its correlation with soil health. The project will engage approximately 100 middle school students in hands-on research activities focused on soil pH and its impact on soil health. Students will collect soil samples from different environments, analyze soil pH levels using the provided equipment, and share their findings through publicly available data-sharing platforms, fostering scientific inquiry and environmental stewardship.
