Terra School at Serenbe

Grant amount:

$1,250

Palmetto, Georgia

Our proposal seeks funding in the amount of $6250.00 to support the implementation of a sustainable greenhouse project engaging 200 students/participants in environmental research and inquiry. The project will involve hands-on learning experiences in sustainable agriculture, incorporating renewable energy technologies, water conservation measures, and organic farming practices. Participants will progress from environmental observation to conducting meaningful research projects, focusing on topics such as soil health, plant growth, and pest management. Through data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings, students will develop critical thinking skills, enhance their scientific literacy, and contribute to ongoing efforts in environmental research and conservation. The project aims to foster a culture of environmental stewardship and empower youth to become agents of positive change within their communities.
