This project will engage students in meaningful, hands-on research by providing access to a Davis Vantage Vue Weather Station and a PurpleAir Flex Air Quality Monitor. With this equipment, students will collect and analyze real-time weather and air quality data, building critical STEM skills and deepening their understanding of environmental systems and human impact on climate. Students will collaborate on investigations, track atmospheric changes, and present their findings through classroom displays, online platforms, and community events. Real-time data will also be shared publicly through WeatherLink and PurpleAir websites, connecting students' local efforts to global citizen science networks. This grant-funded project will empower 800 students as environmental observers and problem-solvers while promoting scientific literacy across the entire school community.
