Northwestern High School PGCPS

Maryland

Grant amount:

$1,300

This grant will be used for purchasing low-cost air monitoring equipment and sharing key information or results to stakeholders of the school community that may benefit 300 to 1000 high school students in the public school system. The air monitors will allow students to collect data inside and outside for student research which will be incorporated into science instruction. Data will be shared among schools and with school authorities and project implementers. Northwestern High School is part of the PGCPS Air Quality Monitoring Professional Learning Group (PLC), and this equipment will let our students pilot the Kaiterra air monitoring equipment for the PLC, allow for a comparison of data to other PGC public schools, and research data from other locations across the country.
