The "Expanding STEM Access: University-School Collaboration for Sustainable Development" project aims to empower high school students in Neuquén, Argentina, through data literacy, scientific skill development, critical thinking, and STEM career awareness. The full project seeks funding for $15,158, but in this application, we are requesting only funds to partially cover the costs of equipment to measure water quality. This initiative will directly benefit at least 45 trained teachers and indirectly benefit at least 300 students and the broader community.

ABOUT YLACES

Youth Learning as Citizen Environmental Scientists assists and rewards the implementation of inquiry-based, experiential science education where students do science and contribute to the understanding of our environment through recognition and financial reward programs.

Grants range from equipment and supplies for taking environmental measurements to recognition and support for students presenting their research projects and working for pervasive inclusion of student research projects in science teaching.
