San Salvador, The Bahamas is a small family island with one primary school and one secondary school. Through this project, students will be involved in GLOBE through a summer camp (Camp Bloom) and at school. Students, teachers, and community members will learn how to make observations and collect data using GLOBE protocols to enhance their awareness and knowledge of scientific methods. Data will be collected and submitted to the GLOBE website and GLOBE Observer app. Students will use weather stations and water quality instruments to collect data for the Atmosphere and Hydrosphere protocols. Students will have the opportunity to share data and findings through oral and poster presentations on San Salvador during their annual Science Fair at the secondary school.
