Forest Park Middle School

At Forest Park Middle School, eleven dedicated students excel in the Globe Program, gathering and analyzing climate data. We seek funds to enhance our program with vital microplastic research equipment. This equipment will empower students to uncover microplastic hazards and devise nationwide solutions, fostering a legacy of environmental stewardship. Student involvement increases awareness of atmospheric issues. The involvement raises student awareness and, through advocacy, promotes an agenda to positively impact our community. In short, it encourages everyone to get involved with saving the planet through personal responsibility.

About YLACES:

Youth Learning as Citizen Environmental Scientists assists and rewards the implementation of inquiry-based, experiential science education where students do science and contribute to the understanding of our environment through recognition and financial reward programs.

Grants range from equipment and supplies for taking environmental measurements to recognition and support for students presenting their research projects and working for pervasive inclusion of student research projects in science teaching.
