The Gulf of Maine Research Institute

The Findings Symposium is an opportunity for young scientists in grades 4-12 to come together as a scientific community to share their research and observations about the environment around them. Importantly, students get a chance to talk with other students and adult STEM professionals from around Maine and New Hampshire who are exploring similar phenomena and are excited about doing science. 

During this day-long, in-person gathering, students learn and share their own work related to ecology and environmental science alongside professional scientists. Students and professionals participate in small discussion groups and attend a keynote address. Estimated attendance is between 80 and 100 students.
