GLOBE Schools in Ghana

The GLOBE Country Coordinator for Ghana will use six sets of equipment for GLOBE Atmosphere and Hydrosphere protocols to train and equip teachers at a set of pilot schools. Students at these schools will participate in GLOBE measurement campaigns focused on water quality, mosquito habitat mapping, and surface temperature and conduct research projects. Student research projects will be submitted to the GLOBE International Virtual Student Symposium.  Ghana was quite active in GLOBE in the past; the supply of equipment will enable a rebirth of GLOBE in Ghana. Data will be reported to GLOBE and YLACES will receive regular reports of progress on progress in implementation of the four-year strategic plan for GLOBE in Ghana.
