GLOBE Implementation Office

Plan

The GLOBE Implementation Office (GIO) held the GLOBE Annual Meeting in July 2016. Many GLOBE Program participants  attended including students, teachers, and partners. GLOBE has developed apps to ease and encourage data reporting. The more data reported to GLOBE, the better the GLOBE archive is in supporting and enabling student research. To encourage meeting attendees to use these new capabilities, prizes were awarded to attendees who showed that they used the apps during the meeting and submitted some data to GLOBE. YLACES supplied 5 sets of digital multi-day max/min thermometers for use in measuring air and soil temperatures and IR thermometers for measuring surface temperature. YLACES Founder Dr. Dixon Butler presented the prizes.
