Youth Learning As Citizen Environmental Scientists is proud to announce that the GLOBE Program is the recipient of the 2021 Excellence in Earth and Space Science Education Award. This award is presented by AGU, a science organization that pioneers new approaches to the exchange of scientific knowledge.

YLACES and GLOBE have worked together for many years to support students and teachers in developing skills to do citizen science. The partnership between the organizations has led to the GLOBE Post Plus program, which has brought funding and tools to international grantees, so that they too can participate in science in their own communities.

The GLOBE Program and the other 34 honorees will be formally recognized at this year’s #AGU21 Fall Meeting. YLACES looks forward to celebrating alongside the other outstanding recipients in New Orleans.

Additional details about the fall meeting can be found at AGU.org/fall-meeting. More about YLACES can be found at YLACES.org.
