Taiwan Globe Plus Post

Students and teachers at Hsin Tien High School and Xin Wu High School will collect data on mosquito prevalence and weather conditions following GLOBE Atmosphere protocols and using the Mosquito Habitat Mapper app. They will investigate the correlation of weather conditions with mosquito abundance. In order to collect atmosphere measurements each school will be provided a multi-day max/min thermometer, a rain gauge, a digital hygrometer, and a pH meter. Data will be submitted to GLOBE. Students will then analyze this data. Smartphone magnifying lenses will be provided for mosquito larvae observations.
